Six Flags Over Georgia Kicks Off 2025 Season with Debut of Georgia Gold Rusher

Six Flags Over Georgia is set to launch another season of thrills as it welcomes visitors back on Saturday, March 15. This year’s opening is headlined by the debut of Georgia Gold Rusher, a groundbreaking roller coaster that promises a one-of-a-kind ride experience.

“As the park's 12th coaster and the world’s first free-spinning gondola coaster, this attraction represents our team’s commitment to delivering unmatched thrills, immersive entertainment and lifelong memories,” said Greg Fuller, general manager at Six Flags Over Georgia. “With a new roller coaster and a multitude of enhancements throughout the park, this season will build on our park legacy, bringing new energy and excitement for our loyal fans and future park guests.”

A Revolutionary Coaster Experience

Georgia Gold Rusher is designed to give riders a different experience every time they board. The coaster features free-spinning seating, with guests launching back and forth on a 590-foot, U-shaped track at speeds reaching 60 mph and heights of 144 feet. With three gravity-defying airtime moments and four unique weightless sensations, the coaster offers a dynamic ride unlike any other.

Inspired by Georgia’s 19th-century gold rush, the ride’s immersive theming enhances the park’s continued investment in storytelling and guest experience.

Park Enhancements and New Dining Concepts

Six Flags Over Georgia has made several upgrades throughout the park for the 2025 season, including enhancements to theming and entertainment. Guests can also look forward to three new dining concepts, fresh menu options, improved service operations, and the introduction of a new executive chef to oversee the park’s updated culinary offerings.

The park will operate on weekends from March 15 through May 18, with daily operation during Spring Break, April 5-13. The adjacent Hurricane Harbor water park is set to open on May 24, providing a refreshing escape for visitors during the summer months.

Special Events and Season Pass Perks

The 2025 season will include a lineup of special events, including the all-new Summerbration festival from May 31 to July 29, as well as returning favorites such as Holiday in the Park from Nov. 22 to Jan. 4.

Season Pass holders will have exclusive access to Georgia Gold Rusher on Opening Weekend, March 15 and 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Passes are currently on sale at the lowest price of the season.
