Caesars Entertainment has officially rebranded Harveys Lake Tahoe as Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, marking the second property under its growing Caesars Republic lifestyle brand. The rebranding is accompanied by a $160 million multi-phase renovation, expected to be completed by 2025, signaling a major transformation of the historic Lake Tahoe property.
Originally introduced in 2019 as a nongaming hotel concept, the Caesars Republic brand has since evolved. A spokesperson for Caesars confirmed that gaming offerings will vary based on market needs. In the case of Lake Tahoe, the casino will remain a central part of the resort’s experience. In fact, the property — the longest-running casino in Lake Tahoe, according to the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce — has already completed a casino floor refresh. This includes new high-limit lounges added to the 88,000-square-foot space, which features about 100 table games, 750 slot machines, and the Caesars Race & Sportsbook.
The transformation has also brought a range of guest-focused upgrades. The resort’s former Mountain Tower is now the Remus Tower, showcasing fully redesigned guest rooms. It also introduced The Villas at Caesars Republic, a luxury suite collection with multiple bedrooms and personalized butler service.
New dining options have also debuted, including Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, Wolf by Vanderpump, and Cleo’s Coffee & Cocktails, a flexible concept that serves as a café during the day and a lounge by night.
More enhancements are planned in future phases starting this fall.
This marks the second Caesars Republic location, following the opening of Caesars Republic Scottsdale in early 2024.
What the Rebrand Means for Visitors
More Luxury Options: Visitors can expect higher-end accommodations, modernized rooms, and premium services like butler-attended suites.
Expanded Dining Experiences: The addition of celebrity-chef restaurants and trendy lounges enhances the resort’s appeal for food and nightlife lovers.
Retained Gaming Experience: Despite its lifestyle branding, Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe keeps its full casino offerings, ensuring that gamblers and casual players alike are still catered to.
Modernized Amenities: New lounges, updated interiors, and refreshed guest services aim to deliver a more polished, upscale experience without losing the property's original charm.
