Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Go All-Inclusive

Hilton has moved two of its luxury resorts on Mexico’s Caribbean coast to an all-inclusive model, with a further change coming for travelers planning a stay with children. Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya both transitioned on October 1, 2026, the company announced.

Beginning January 10, 2027, Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya will welcome only registered guests aged 18 and older. Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya will continue serving travelers of all ages, while Ceiba Club will offer a dedicated adults-only section for registered guests 18 and older on the same date.

The two properties are taking different approaches to the all-inclusive stay. Hilton is positioning the Waldorf Astoria around privacy, personalized service and dining, while Conrad’s offering emphasizes culinary variety, cultural activities and experiences for multiple generations.

Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya Goes Adults-Only in January

A dedicated personal concierge will help Waldorf Astoria guests plan their visit before arrival and throughout their stay, coordinating dining reservations, wellness appointments, transportation, excursions and celebrations. The idea is to make the itinerary feel tailored to the guest rather than leave everyone following the same resort schedule.

Dining centers on Mexican ingredients and traditions. Malpeque’s offerings include live-fire cooking, a Mexican cheese cart, tableside carving and salt tastings. Chaya will feature its Mesa de Maíz, seasonal paletas and Mexican dessert cart, while JA’O will offer agave discovery, a Margarita Cart and Tortilla Ancestral. Peacock Alley’s lineup includes a signature breakfast and afternoon tea.

The Waldorf Astoria’s programming also brings together wellness, regional craftsmanship, culinary activities and live music. Mornings may include oceanfront yoga, Mayan breathwork or sound healing, followed by activities such as watercolors, heritage textiles, Mayan clay and Margarita Mixology. Sunset gatherings and intimate musical performances round out the offering.

Additional inclusions include 24-hour in-room dining and a tailored minibar refreshed daily, along with arrival amenities and poolside welcome moments.

Conrad Tulum Keeps Families in the Picture

Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, set along a secluded bay where jungle and mangroves meet the Caribbean Sea, is taking a multigenerational approach. Its restaurant lineup ranges from Mediterranean dishes at Maratea to Japanese cuisine at Ukai and live teppanyaki at Kengai.

Families will also have access to MYTHOS World, an included kids’ club with programming built around nature, creativity and modern Mayan storytelling. Age-specific activities, an Explorer Kit, hands-on discovery and The Stargazer evening experience are designed to engage younger guests while parents have time to dine, explore or reconnect.

Adults seeking dedicated space within Conrad will have Ceiba Club. Hilton says the experience will include access to Autor, its Michelin-recognized contemporary Mexican restaurant, as well as Ceiba Lounge and Carbon Restaurant, Pool & Beach.

The resort’s wider programming includes wellness, culture, creativity, gastronomy and celebrations, with events such as Tulum After Dark and Full Moon Celebration. Its additional inclusions include 24-hour in-room dining, refreshed minibar selections and concierge support.

What to Know Before Booking

At both resorts, eligible transient stays of four consecutive nights or longer may include one selected resort experience or destination excursion per stay. Options vary with the resort’s offerings. Conrad’s examples include a cenote experience at Vesica, a family waterpark experience at Xel-Há or a spa inclusion.

Private round-trip airport transfers are offered for eligible direct bookings: from Cancún International Airport for Waldorf Astoria, and from Cancún or Tulum international airports for Conrad.

Existing reservations will be honored under the plans and terms confirmed when booked. There is one important exception at Waldorf Astoria: reservations including guests under 18 with arrival dates on or after January 10, 2027. According to Hilton’s announcement, the resort will help those guests identify alternative accommodations and provide personalized assistance.

For travelers choosing between the two, the distinction becomes clearer in January: Waldorf Astoria for an entirely adults-only stay, or Conrad for a resort that accommodates families while offering adults their own dedicated enclave.
