Chicago, United States — Sports Illustrated Resorts plans to convert a Loop hotel into a 250-unit property, offering fans year-round sports energy by 2026.

CHICAGO — It is one thing to catch a game at Wrigley Field, Soldier Field or the United Center, but starting this winter sports-minded visitors will be able to live, eat and sleep inside a property that is being purpose-built to celebrate the Windy City’s world-famous athletic heritage.

More than 150 federal agents and possible National Guard troops could descend on Chicago as early as Friday—local leaders promise to “hold the line.”

JB Pritzker says Homeland Security agents and National Guard units may be “assembled, ready to go” by Friday, with expanded ICE operations beginning Saturday. Alton, Illinois Celebrates Eagle Season with Festive Events and Activities

Alton, IL – December 20, 2023 – The Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau, in collaboration with FLOCK Food Truck Park, the Audubon Center at Riverlands, and National Great Rivers Museum, is set to celebrate the official start of Eagle Season. The festivities will begin with the annual Eagle Ice Festival on Saturday, January 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., marking the return of the Great American Bald Eagles to their winter homes in southwest Illinois.
