MOGADISHU, Somalia — Travelers who have long eyed Somalia’s beaches, history and emerging business scene may finally regain a national carrier to get them there. After a three-decade absence, Somali Airlines is expected to return to the skies by the third quarter of 2025, part of a broader government push to reconnect the Horn of Africa nation with the wider world.

MIAMI — Vacationers planning a beach hop through the Caribbean or a quick corporate charter from Florida to Latin America will soon have additional seats—and scheduling flexibility—thanks to a significant fleet expansion at Global Crossing Airlines Group, Inc., better known to flyers as GlobalX.
