Royal Caribbean has officially named its third Icon-class cruise ship Legend of the Seas, set to sail in both Europe and the Caribbean during its inaugural seasons. Bookings for the highly anticipated vessel will open on February 20, with Crown and Anchor Society loyalty members receiving early access up to 24 hours prior.
According to Royal Caribbean, Legend of the Seas will enhance the signature experiences introduced by Icon of the Seas, the first ship in the class, though specific details have yet to be announced.
The ship is scheduled to debut in July 2026, offering seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises between Barcelona and Rome. Beginning in November 2026, Legend of the Seas will homeport year-round in Fort Lauderdale, where it will operate six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Southern Caribbean itineraries. These sailings will include stops in Aruba, Curaçao, and Falmouth, Jamaica, along with Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas.
Royal Caribbean has also confirmed an order for a fourth Icon-class ship, with options for two additional vessels, signaling the company’s continued expansion in the ultra-modern cruise market.
