The tours will feature a National Geographic Expert, along with local guides and naturalists, who will provide in-depth insights and storytelling to enrich guests' experiences. These experts come from diverse backgrounds such as filmmaking, photography, archeology, and geography, enhancing the educational aspect of the tours.

Australia: Reefs, Rainforests & Wild Tasmania

This 11-day tour will highlight Australia's iconic attractions and natural wonders. Guests will have the opportunity to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, observe fairy penguins at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, and explore historic sites like the Port Arthur Australian Convict Site and the Sydney Opera House. The tour also emphasizes local conservation efforts, offering a comprehensive view of Australia's environmental initiatives.

Portugal & the Azores

Spanning 10 days, this tour delves into the rich cultural and ecological heritage of one of Europe’s oldest countries. In Portugal, guests will visit the renowned Lello bookstore in Porto and view European masterpieces at Sao Roque Church in Lisbon. The Azores segment of the tour includes exploring the islands' gardens, geothermal sites, and protected natural areas, showcasing the unique ecological diversity of the region.

Sri Lanka: Wildlife and Wonders of the Spice Island

Over 11 days, guests will explore six UNESCO World Heritage Sites and engage in various wildlife observation activities. Highlights include an ocean experience with a National Geographic Explorer for real-time studies, scenic train rides across the Nine Arch Bridge, safari drives in Yala National Park, and visits to the tea plantations in the Central Highlands. This tour offers a deep dive into Sri Lanka's natural and cultural treasures.

These new itineraries by National Geographic Expeditions aim to provide travelers with immersive, educational experiences, guided by experts with a profound understanding of each destination.
